In case you didn't get it the first time, my name is Valerie, and I'm 17. I've been a webgeek since I was about eight or nine, when I discovered AIM in perhaps its earliest form. I've followed a lot of fads in Internet games (see: Neopets, OutWar, RuneScape, Inklink, et. al.), but I've settled down now and I'm dedicated to writing Harry Potter fanfiction and keeping up my own little personal space here. You'll see me most active at LiveJournal, where I run several fanfiction-related communities. My loves are science, piano, chocolate, Ben & Jerry's "Half-Baked" ice cream, hot weather, and nighttime. I'm Nicaraguan, British, and Polish - I speak fluent Spanish and am currently learning Polish. :)

Also, you should know I happen to really like balloons (chimbombas), and my taste in music is entirely too eclectic to put into words.

If for some reason you need to get a hold of me, email me at valerie [at] madhatbox.org. I don't have a contact form page anymore, which I know is more convenient, but it's not like I get a lot of messages anyway, haha. I decided to cut out a lot of pages from my collective just to keep things simple, with only the things I really need.

Feel free to mosey around my network! :D

WHAT'S WITH THIS "STAMPING GROUND" BUSINESS?

      stamping ground n. 1. One's customary environment. 2. A favorite gathering place.
according to Webster's II New Riverside University Dictionary

I just happened to come across the phrase in my thesaurus, and I thought it sounded nice. And it fits: this is the home, the stamping ground, of all my online projects.
